“a gloomy silence ensued.”

April 25, 2006 | Filed Under ordinary

i must admit to feeling a wee bit stalked. a south carolinian (207.232.169.157) is spending all working hours reading all posts in all months of the fresh milk archives. do forgive if you’re a friendly curiosity. it’s just that i cannot help myself the snark.

what burning eyeballs you must have.

come, now. cupcakes for one so agog. no doubt you’ll need something at the end of your long reading day.

i love my stat-counter, yes i do.

hello. i assume you’re talking about me. if not, i am about to reveal my dorkdom for no reason at all. no worries, i truly am just a friendly curiosity. my job requires that i sit in front of a computer all day with lulls between projects quite frequently. thus, i have become a blog dork. not having a blog of my own, i have become facinated by all the blogs out there by people i know or know of. there are so many, in fact, that one could spend the better part of the day reading them. i am, after all, still at work, so during these workless moments on the job, i have narrowed my blog reading to a few choice sites, checking them every couple hours to see if they have been updated. i know, i’m a dork. so why did i choose your dot com? pictures. i like them. because, to be quite frank, i don’t really care about what someone had for breakfast on a particular morning or the bed head they woke up with, which, by the way, represents the majority of blogs i come across. i just like pictures. i especially enjoyed the kitchen sink series, mainly bacause that’s usually how my sick looks, right down to the fiesta. now you’re probably wondering how i found your blog. it was linked to someone’s who was linked to someone’s who was linked to someone’s. . . and so on. but i do know you. well, not really, i just know of you. i grew up at your good ol’ alma matter. but please don’t label me. i don’t consider myself to be excessively abnormal (aside from the whole obsessive blogging thing, of course). i also grew up at FFPC, so you’ve probably seen me there when you were in sc. oh, and i’m the only girl that i know of around here who drives a vw bus, so maybe you’ve seen me peering over the rather large wheel before. at any rate, i’m not trying to be creepy. i just like pictures.

    Hey Mollie,
I was hoping you don’t think i’m stalking you. I was just checking out pictures of my nephews. And the cupcakes of course.

    Sam (lol)

Sam needs a blog !! we should rally – mollie -and try and get him to start one! : )

Yes, a Sam blog, then we can all be linked in one big blog family :)

Don’t you love being able to check out who and when and where from people are reading your blog? Speculating about those in foreign countries, who they are and why they are reading about your life.

is there more than one lone alaskan…
sometime last week, i believe, i left this page open, and wondered, does it say i was here all day long?

Still wondering if you have a large interest in photography.

    mystery solved! hooray!

a series of emails and an exchange of photograph and all is well. relief.

    yes, sam needs a blog.

i think that i’ve got two alaskan readers. ::scratching of head:: i can tell when the page has just been sitting open for hours and i can also see individual clicking on the site. lots of page-loads.

yes, janet, we’ve an interest in photography over here. ernie is a better photographer than i, though.

kumquats. (is that how you spell that?) i have so much catching up to do. i love the wordpress venue, but i lost my rss feed that notified me of your new posts. so here i’m thinking, mollie’s being pretty quiet; i wonder what’s up? a random whim-visit jerks me back to attention, but i’m overwhelmed with all the catching-up-to-do.

and i am wracking my brain about “emily.” i can think of two emily’s at ffpc – both with last initial “b” – and yet, somehow i don’t know who it is. help me out? i’m not a stalker; i promise. (although i will admit to a particular fetish for some sufjan stevens music. oh, and i once ingested rocky mountain oysters, but i didn’t know what they were at the time.)

oh wait. i think i just thought of two more emily’s at ffpc.
i’m dying of curiosity. post the photo. (?) ok maybe not.
