Yup, I remember sidewalks and yards I’ve moved away from. Every one of them.
Moving can be hard on the kids. When we moved in 2004, Belinda still had a baby brain. She was up all night sobbing with us on our disassembled bed, “I want to go homie!” With us saying, “We are home now, honey.” Then everything worked out fine after a bit.
ack! you had to leave the shelves?!?
THANK YOU so much for the shoes… i smiled with all me teeth when i opened them! you are the sweetest. they’re a tiny bit tight, though… i passed them on to our room-mate and she adores them.
call me when you get a chance? i want to catch up….

yes, it’s been strange with the boys. henry keeps asking for his things — costumes, toys, etc., and thinks that they’re “in our empty brick house!” and is very disturbed by this idea. it’s weird with all of the temporary housing, too. no one knows what’s going on. i bought a mop, used it, and felt better. somewhere to be domestic, maybe that’s what i needed.
i’m sad about the shoes not fitting, jen! i’m sorry there was no note — it was hectic and i was a little obsessive with the handy tape-dispenser.
i will call. email me your numbers, since i have no idea where anything is right now.
