Wow :o ) Congratulations! May this new addition inspire many wonderful musings on mothering, life, children, wonder, joy. I look forward to reading them!

I took my husband with me to shop for a gift for another soon-to-be-mom-times-three. He was surprisingly wistful as we passed through the furniture section, noting our lack thereof (and lack of need thereof). He helped me find a few sheet sets for our friend– one of the only things left on the gift registry, since I procrastinated and everyone beat me to the good stuff. He was unsatisfied and insisted we look for a little something more, something suitable for a firstborn son. The toys were expensive and unstimulating; we found a rack of teeny tiny clothes and sifted through, coming across first a “Monster Truck” collection: onesie, t-shirts, bibs…you name it, it had a monster truck on it. My husband, though, discarded it in favor of a onesie with a “good pirate” on it. I couldn’t help but think of Henry and Jude ;o)

Congratulations again. you have my best wishes an my slight envy–but mostly my best wishes.

I love it when they wave!

I’m rooting for another boy, too.

Then you can be like me and sing the theme to My three sons in your head whenever anyone says, “YOU’VE GOT THREE BOYS!”
