My long living pair gave up the ghost a few years ago. So, far the "new" has lasted 2.5 years! I comisurate with you on the washer...ours died this week, too. Unfortunately, Keith is not handy so it won't be getting fixed. On the flip side, I think he found us a cheap used one from someone he works with. I agree, can’t wait to see the new glasses. I'm about to get my first pair of reading glasses because I noticed that I was knitting about 3 inches from my face.
